Aupax

Aupax is the tractor brand of the Weichai Lovol group, one of the largest agricultural machinery manufacturers in China. From 2025 it carries on the green tractor line that Europe knew as Arbos: the same design, colours and cab layout, under a new name.

From Arbos to Aupax

Arbos is one of the old names of Italian farm machinery. The name comes from Araldi and Boselli, two businessmen from Piacenza, and for most of the 20th century it stood for tractors and, above all, combine harvesters.

• 1954: as Arbos-Bubba it launched its first wheeled tractor, with a 35 hp Perkins diesel; a tracked version followed a year later.
• 1960: combine production moved to a new plant in San Lazzaro near Piacenza, and in 1971 came the Pantera 7 Colli, a combine that levels itself on slopes.
• 1964 to 1994: owned in turn by the American White, then the Magni brothers (as Nuova Arbos) and others, until the company closed in 1994.
• 2011: the Chinese manufacturer Lovol revived the name and opened an engineering centre near Bologna to design new tractors for Europe.
• 2015: the group bought the seed drill maker MaterMacc and the orchard tractor maker Goldoni, whose plant at Migliarina di Carpi near Modena became the Arbos headquarters.
• 2017: a full line of tractors and implements in green livery was shown at Agritechnica.
• 2025: the green tractor line continues under the Aupax name.
