Substances contained in used oils and filters pose a danger to the environment and human health. They enter water, soil, and the atmosphere, contaminating them with hazardous, harmful, and toxic substances. Every owner of used oils, air, fuel or oil filters, and shock absorbers helps protect the environment and conserve natural resources by sorting their waste and donating it to recycling and reuse companies.

Metals, acids and other hazardous substances contained in electrical and electronic equipment, as well as in batteries, pose a significant threat to human health and the environment. This waste must not be mixed with household and other waste. It must be sorted, collected separately and handed over to an authorized waste management company.

Every year, a large number of tires are produced in the world, which, at the end of their service life, add to the waste stream, which practically does not decompose in the natural environment. To reduce the continuously increasing volume of waste tyres and their negative impact on the environment, used tyres can be: recycled; used as fuel in high-temperature energy recovery processes; stored; retreaded (refurbished); exported for further processing.

Improper sorting of packaging and packaging waste—for example, disposing of it in containers not intended for packaging waste—makes the processes of waste sorting, recycling more difficult. Before placing any item into a recycling container, consider whether it is actually packaging or simply the product itself. If it is not packaging, but the product, it should be disposed of according to its nature, either in the mixed municipal waste container or delivered to special collection points for such waste.
